Guidelines for Entries on MOST’s Multiples in the News

  1. To insure families have agreed to the release of the information on the MOST Multiples in the News page, news stories must initiate from a mainstream verifiable media source (television/cable program, newspaper article, online media source with editorial review, etc.)
  1. MOST does not post updates submitted directly by individuals (although we do accept links to news stories submitted by individuals) or updates from personal websites, blogs, or other media sources lacking editorial review and authorized consent protocols.
  1. MOST will post only one entry per story per family; however, that entry may contain links to multiple media sources reporting about that story.
  1. MOST may post additional news stories with significant updates on a family at a later date, but limits the number of entries on a particular family to no more than 3 in a 6 month period. (Note: MOST makes an effort to link multiple entries on the same family in the same calendar year to each other.)
  1. MOST does not post stories written strictly for the purpose of requesting personal donations to individuals or families, but does not exclude stories that include donation requests managed by charities, corporations, or foundations.
  1. MOST tries to note any links to non-English websites.
  1. MOST notes when a family in the news is a MOST member and generally places those entries at the top of each new batch of entries. Otherwise entries are posted in the order in which they are received.
  1. MOST does not post any personal contact information of families in Multiples in the News entries, but may include a link to a family's personal blog/website when the URL is given within the news story. MOST is not responsible for content on personal websites, and encourages families to take steps to protect their personal information on their site.
  1. MOST tries to ensure that all entries posted on the Multiples in the News page are accurate. In the event that MOST is notified or discovers that an entry on the Multiples in the News page is inaccurate, we will either correct or remove the information as soon as possible.
  1. Unless the story contains critical insight for families of multiples, extremely negative stories (custody cases, abuse, lawsuits, personal attacks) will not be posted on MOST's Multiples in the News page.
  1. MOST makes every effort to post only links with appropriate content on the MOST Multiples in the News; however due to the dynamic nature of online content, MOST makes no guarantee about the content on 3rd party sites.
  1. Due to the age of some of the entries on the MOST Multiples in the News pages, some links may no longer be active.
